Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
The short version
- We collect what you give us (quiz answers, name, email, purchase details) and standard technical data (device, pages visited, ad-measurement data).
- Your quiz answers are used for one thing: creating your result and, if you buy one, your personalized report. We never sell them and never use them to target ads.
- We share data only with the service providers that run this business — hosting, checkout, payments, email, analytics, and advertising measurement — each listed by name below.
- We email you only with your permission, and every email has an unsubscribe link. We do not send SMS or text messages.
- You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your data at any time: support@thefogpattern.com.
The short version is a courtesy. The full policy below is what applies.
1. Who we are & what this covers
TheFogPattern (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a trading name of SKILZZ LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14809270), with its registered office at Suite 3.5, Gateway House, Styal Road, Manchester, England, M22 5WY, United Kingdom. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, SKILZZ LTD, trading as TheFogPattern, is the entity responsible for your personal information (the “data controller”).
This policy covers thefogpattern.com and its subdomains — including quiz.thefogpattern.com (our quiz) — together, the “Services.” Our checkout is hosted by Whop on its own platform, which handles your data under its own privacy policy as well (linked in section 6). Our Services are directed to residents of the United States.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quiz answers. The answers you choose to submit when you take our quiz, including optional questions about your energy, sleep, meals, and daily habits. See section 3 for how carefully we treat these.
- Contact details. Your name and email address, if you request your result or make a purchase.
- Purchase information. The product bought, amount paid, and the billing details you enter at checkout. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
- Messages. Anything you send to our support email.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, time on page, and referral source.
- Cookie and pixel data, as described in our Cookie Policy, including advertising identifiers used by the measurement tools listed in section 6.
- Coarse location (such as country or region) inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
Information from others
- Payment confirmations from Stripe (for example, that your payment succeeded), so we can deliver what you bought.
3. Your quiz answers
Some quiz questions touch on your day-to-day wellbeing — things like sleep, energy, and eating habits. We treat these answers with special care:
- They are used only to generate your quiz result and, if you purchase one, your personalized report.
- They are never sold.
- They are never used to build advertising audiences or target ads.
- Questions of this kind are optional — you can skip them and still get a result.
- While you take the quiz, your progress is saved only in your own browser and is not transmitted to us until you submit it. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Our quiz results and reports are educational orientations, not medical assessments. We are not a healthcare provider, and the information you share with us is not protected health information under HIPAA.
4. How we use information
- To provide the Services — generate your quiz result and, if purchased, your personalized report.
- To deliver purchases and send transactional emails (receipts, delivery links, access instructions).
- To send follow-up emails about your result and related content, if you have given us your email. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works with one click.
- To provide customer support and respond to your messages.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To measure and improve our website, quiz, content, and advertising.
- To comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not send SMS or text messages. We will never ask for your phone number for marketing, and we do not run any SMS program.
5. AI-assisted personalization
Your quiz answers are processed by automated systems, including AI language-model services, to create your free result and your personalized report. These systems process your answers on our instructions to generate your content; we do not permit them to use your answers to train their models. A human being (Christophe) remains available to discuss any result with you personally.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with the service providers that help us run the business, listed below, and otherwise only when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
| Service | Provider | What it does for us |
|---|---|---|
| Website hosting & CDN | Cloudflare, Inc. (privacy policy) | Hosts and protects our websites. |
| Funnel, CRM & email | HighLevel Inc. (“GoHighLevel”) (privacy policy) | Runs our quiz and funnel pages, stores customer records, and sends our emails. |
| Checkout & order platform | Whop, Inc. (privacy policy) | Hosts our checkout, manages orders, and delivers your purchase. |
| Payment processing | Stripe, Inc. (privacy policy) | Processes card payments made at checkout. Stripe acts as an independent controller of the payment data you give it. |
| Tag management & analytics | Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics — Google Ireland Limited (privacy policy) | Manages measurement tags and analyzes how visitors use our websites. |
| Ads conversion tracking | Google Ads — Google Ireland Limited (privacy policy) | Measures the effectiveness of our advertising. |
| Advertising measurement | Meta Pixel — Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (privacy policy) | Measures and optimizes our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. |
| Usage analysis | Microsoft Clarity — Microsoft Corporation (privacy policy) | Analyzes usage behavior (e.g., heatmaps and session statistics) so we can improve the site. |
| AI processing | AI language-model service providers | Generate your personalized result and report from your quiz answers, on our instructions. |
These providers may process data in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers (lawyers, accountants), as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or sale), or when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.
7. Advertising, analytics & opt-outs
We use the advertising and analytics tools listed above to understand how people find and use our Services and to measure our ads. Some U.S. state laws treat sharing data with advertising partners through cookies and pixels as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or as “targeted advertising.”
You can opt out at any time:
- Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Information” link in our footer, or email us with the same subject line.
- Use the cookie choices described in our Cookie Policy.
- Where required by law, we treat universal opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a valid opt-out request for the browser you send them from.
Your quiz answers are excluded from all of this. They are never shared with advertising partners in any form.
8. Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and browser storage for essential site functions, analytics, and advertising measurement. Our Cookie Policy lists every tool by name, explains what each one does, and describes your choices.
9. How long we keep information
- Purchase records — as long as required by tax and accounting law (generally six years in the UK).
- Email marketing data — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Quiz answers — for as long as needed to provide your result and report, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
- Support messages — for as long as needed to resolve your request and keep a reasonable record of it.
10. Your privacy rights (U.S.)
Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know / access — receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including the categories we collect and the purposes we use them for.
- Correct — fix inaccurate information.
- Delete — have your personal information deleted, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax law).
- Portability — receive your information in a usable format.
- Opt out — of “sales,” “sharing,” and targeted advertising, as described in section 7.
- Limit use of sensitive information — we already limit it: the only potentially sensitive information we collect (optional wellness-related quiz answers) is used solely to provide the service you requested.
- Non-discrimination — we will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise your rights: email support@thefogpattern.com from the address you used with us. We will verify your request by confirming control of that email address and respond within the timeframe required by your state’s law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent; we will ask the agent for proof of your written permission. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word “Appeal” in the subject line, and a different person will review it.
11. Visitors outside the U.S.
Our Services are directed to the United States, and we do not target them to the UK, the EEA, or elsewhere. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the EEA as described above. Because SKILZZ LTD is established in the United Kingdom, UK data protection law applies to our own processing; UK residents may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
12. Children
Our website and products are intended for adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
All pages and forms on our Services are served over SSL/TLS encryption. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, work with established providers, and limit access to personal data to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take the duty seriously.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on this page — and if we hold your email address and the change significantly affects you, we will tell you directly.
